Techni Ice Heavy Duty Reusable (HDR) dry ice packs are the industry standard for commercial cold chain performance. Used by airlines including Air France and KLM, food delivery operators, pharmaceutical companies, and logistics providers across Europe and worldwide, these packs outperform standard gel packs in both temperature retention and reuse lifespan.

Each sheet is comprised of 24 four-ply cells: two inner textile layers containing the refrigerant polymer, sandwiched between two high-density outer plastic sheets. This construction makes the packs fully washable, highly durable, and flexible even when fully frozen — critical for wrapping around irregularly shaped products in delivery packaging.

The packs can be cut to any size with standard scissors, making them adaptable across all packaging formats from small postal boxes to large rigid coolers. They freeze down to −18°C in any standard freezer and maintain cold temperatures 3× longer than standard gel packs.

  • Suitable for both cold and hot temperature applications
  • Can be re-frozen immediately after use
  • No leakage — dry design with no liquid refrigerant
  • Safe for food contact — non-toxic, BPA-free, FDA approved

How long do the packs stay cold?

Cold retention depends on the layer count and ambient temperature. At 20°C ambient: 4-layer packs hold cold for 4–6 hours; 12-layer packs for 10–14 hours; 18-layer packs for 20+ hours. Always freeze packs to −18°C before use for optimal performance.

Can the packs be cut to a different size?

Yes — the packs can be cut to any shape or size using standard scissors without losing refrigerant. Simply cut between the cells to create the exact size you need for your packaging.

What is the minimum order quantity for B2B orders?

Yes — we offer full custom logo printing on ice packs from a minimum of 10,000 units, which covers the factory print setup requirement. For smaller orders, our plain white ice packs are available from 50 units with no minimum for branding. Cooler bags are available with custom branding from 200 units, and ice boxes from 100 units.

Are the packs safe for food contact?

Yes. Techni Ice products are non-toxic, BPA-free, and FDA approved for use in food contact applications. They meet EU food safety requirements and are widely used by food businesses operating under HACCP regulations.
